The attitude of the owner leaves a lot to be desired for. Quite rude at times. Also, claims not to give receipts for Amazon returns? My other ups store does ALWAYS. Honestly, skip this place. Between the attitude and the horrible parking situation you're better off elsewhere
This is the type of store that you get to, to get stuff done. They are usually quite busy and they don't have time to hold your hand and they aren't even necessarily nice or polite. But they are efficient and fast and will take care of what you need. I really like that you can email your label to them and they'll print it off since I don't have a printer at home. Took off one star because, yeah, Nirav could be a little more kind... but I also understand that he's busy and I'm not necessarily the type of person that needs someone to stroke my ego to make me good inside lol.
Very disrespectful and rude staff!
After receiving several error messages when typing my tracking number into the UPS site, I figured out that my tracking number actually correlated with USPS. It was not made clear to me when I dropped my package at the UPS store that my package would actually be shipped by USPS so I was a bit confused. Nonetheless, I figured it out and used my tracking number on the USPS site. That site stated that my package had a label created but didn’t appear to have any other shipping information. I was surprised and confused to see this since it had now been 5 days since dropping my package at UPS and paying for priority shipping. So I figured the best way to learn more about my package would be to just call the UPS store. Boy was I wrong! The man I spoke to on the phone was incredibly rude to me. He raised his voice and was extremely defensive when I asked any questions about my package. I couldn’t hardly explain my situation before being interrupted with “THERE ARE NO GUARANTEED DELIVERIES”, “key word ~ESTIMATED~ delivery date”, “Didn’t you read the terms and conditions!!!!”. I seriously couldn’t finish a sentence without being interrupted with some sort of disrespectful and belittling comment. Meanwhile, I wasn’t even upset. I just wanted to make sure my package was okay and that it had left the office in Greenville because it was hard for me to get that information online. I was truly shocked by how horribly I was spoken to for no apparent reason.
Very rude owner.
I come in for an Amazon return only to be told that I need to tape the box myself and it would cost 2.99.
I told the guy I’ve never encountered this before anytime I have a return at any ups store. He then had a smart attitude with me and said oh “interesting”.
Money hungry people.
I’ll never go back.
I want to express my disappointment regarding my recent experiences with returning Amazon orders at this store location. I believe it is important to provide feedback so that your prospective customers will be aware.
On my first visit to return an item, I encountered poor customer service. When I requested a receipt, it was given to me reluctantly, and I was advised to take a picture of the label instead. Although I received an email confirmation from Amazon that the item had been dropped off, this lack of willingness to provide a proper receipt left me feeling dissatisfied.
During my second visit, I trusted the associate and did not take a picture of the label as I was assured it was all I needed. However, after an hour had passed without receiving the confirmation, I called the store to inquire about the delay. To my surprise, I was informed that I should have taken the issue directly to Amazon, and it was now my responsibility to request a receipt. This lack of consistent information and shifting responsibility has created an unfortunate situation where I am unable to provide proof of returning the item, leaving room for it to conveniently go missing.
Based on these experiences, I regret to say that I cannot recommend your location for returns or shipping services. The issues I encountered give the impression that the store may not be adequately prepared or trained to handle Amazon returns, which is concerning.
I kindly request that you address these issues promptly to ensure a more satisfactory experience for future customers. Providing consistent and transparent information, as well as ensuring that customers receive the necessary receipts for their returns, will go a long way in improving your customer service and overall reputation.
This UPS Store location continues to be reluctant to provide receipts for Amazon returns. I say "continues," because this has been my experience in the past and I see that other reviewers of the Augusta Street location have had the same experience. Today, when I asked for a receipt, I was told that the QR code I'd printed out at home and brought with me would serve as my receipt. I replied that, no, I'd like a receipt, at which point one was printed out and given to me, accompanied by the comment "It's not worth explaining."
Perhaps it is, though, and this would be the explanation I'd offer: A "receipt" is the proof of acceptance that a customer returning an item is given by the store in exchange for that item. It isn't something that that the customer brings to the store, hands an employee, and then has handed back to him.
Regardless, I think it would be better for this location to either make it a policy not to print receipts or to do so without resistance. The grudging compliance and snarky send-off aren't useful or appreciated.
Always come and do my Amazon returns on my lunch break here. Chris is very efficient and Stephen is very friendly, I always get out of there very quickly.
When moving to Greenville, we had no permanent home right away, and needed a temporary forwarding address while living in hotels and looking for a new home. The UPS Store owner (N.K.) was extremely helpful in setting up a UPS Box (over the …
